This isn't the first time that IDCC signed an agreement and then put out the 8-K 4 days later. There was one a few months ago, forget which one...

DesertDweller, It would have been an excellent opportunity to catch the call writers and manipulators with their pants down. But, we have to remember that there is another player in this equation...LG...it could have been a request/decision from the other side too....and 285 mill is a pretty big number.

DD .. Still, I can't understand why management would do this to option players.

I can almost guarantee that management never has, still doesn't and, hopefully, never will give even one minute's thought to the effect their actions, and the timing thereof, might have on option players. They are duty bound to focus exclusively on building long term shareholder value. End of story.

Sorry for your loss, but watching out for the fortunes of option players and those on margin isn't even in the finest of print in management's job description. IMO, most of the pissing matches over management performance on this board over the years stem from the fact that some understand and embrace the reality of management's job description vis-a-vis their responsibilities to shareholders while others steadfastly refuse to accept it.
