If people want to post on cluttered boards where the content does not matter, the web is full. I-hub is forgetting the sweet spot it currently enjoys in financial message board world with this change.
It could learn something from a successful news aggregator, the Drudge Report(example only, not a frequent visitor by any means) that simplicity and a focus on content while allowing all content to be viewed in a simplistic format is desired. Ihub is a financial site, how in the world could they have decided to cut off chart posting abilities in favor of two completely useless and in no way informative columns. Complete lack of foresight by anyone involved in the design process. I'm not a paying member and have no interest in paying for something that is not utilitarian and useful primarily for what everyone focuses on, stocks, companies, charts, and everything that goes along with it. Content is what matters, really like Ihub, there is a reason why they have always been the magnet and why basically all other sites that cater to the same clientele do not gain anywhere near the following. With this format change, Ihub has lost a giant chunk of that reason. Surely they will realize that. A 3 column format is not something that people whine about then accept, usability has been dramatically reduced, the utilitarian aspect with regards to charts and content viewing, completely annihilated. Really, a terrible idea. Hopefully they realize this soon and fix it.
I realize that I'm just a freebie at the moment anyway and my opinion does not count. However, there is no way in heck that I'll pay for a 3 column format on a financial message board site, ever.
