why shouldnt you say that? portfolio management is a good thing. its not what i was asking about but thats ok (ggg). i was just commenting that i dont think the method in which you calculate the acct gain column is accurate. reason being a partial position will not increase the whole folio by its gain. it will do so on a weighted basis correspondind to its % of the portfolio. steve
