LOL, I'm in a stock that has a DTC Chill (trade-for-trade settlements) meaning that it cannot be settled through the DTCC. It trades through Scottrade, ETrade and Fidelity with no problems because those brokers do their own settlements, but TDW will not trade it because of the DTC Chill.
It has only to do with how a brokerage firm handles their settlements and since TDW clears through Apex Clearing (formally penson), they will not allow buys on stocks that cannot be cleared through the DTCC.
I have not talked to TDW about a DTC Chill being on STKO and am only going by what has been posted here about TDW not allowing buys of STKO.
Call TDW and find out firsthand. I couldn't call less as I do not trade STKO.
