of course there will be different outcomes depending on Statin, in fact I'm sure they're planning on it - maybe even managing registrants based on it
but the data wil capture those differences
On the plus side, I believe the poulation will be postively affected by reduction of non-cardio vascular events / illness . For example, Vascepa's anti inflammatory properties could reduce incidence of cancer, Diabetes and other inflammatory illness - so I expect the number of overall deaths compared to placebo to be lower - not 100% due to reduction of CVD.
