CSCO. Looks premature even for this. I did buy the 10:00 breakout @ 13.31 at bounce off 200 period ma, but could not take that pullback below 13.45 so i'm still long 50% with a stop just @ 13.15 and this trade shows that even a stock with all the elements of a 'core' hold has a hole in the core. Not interesting in scalping this earnings season just watchin a handful of earnings plays daily (or those that will move with those earnings plays) and out of positions and shorting rallies. I can't imagine anyone not taking any gains they might have accrued today and just let them evaporate in the "I'm now a position or long term holder" strategy. Same thing happened on Monday and I considered myself lucky to escape ABT and GE (had no stops) with a good gain in ABT and cut my losses in GE.
We will also be buying pullbacks (10;00 exhaustion moves down) but not holding for more than a possible swing play at best and more than likely just "the long term daytrade" and entries will be on the "reversal period and moving average triggers" until the air is cleared which will take another 2 to 3 weeks, but in the interim we will have established those companies that are going to 'regrow' and have a propensity for real gains in the not too distant futures....the stalwarts.
