firefight...Imagine if you will, rolling out nationally, adding 55 stores a month......with a buggy website. Not a good scenario IMO. Today's 8-K tells me they are taking their time and doing things right.
I see it as good thing in that they took out the 30-day deal and just left it as the normal legal mumbo-jumbo of termination.
They also took out the roll-out rate of "55 stores/month" completely and have instead replaced it with, "if the Parties mutually agree that a National Rollout of the Program is mutually beneficial, the Parties shall enter into a definitive agreement for such National Rollout.".
This tells me that as hypothesised already by somebody else (I forget who), that the pilot program thus far has been a HUGE SUCCESS. So much so that they possibly forsee that they will have to adjust the rate of a national rollout so that they are able to adhere to their goal of "managed growth". It appears to me that if they went full-bore ahead with what was originally thought possible, they would've/could've gotten overwhelmed with new subs which would lead to unsatisfied customers which would hurt their business tremendously...and they know it. This also is a good sign that they made a plan and are sticking to it! :) BRAVO JF AND CHIP!!!
It's relatively easy to get new customers, a constant challenge to keep them (must constantely monitor their customer service and keep them happy), and almost impossible to get those customers back if they become displeased and cancel service.
They CLEARLY, IMO, want to keep their "churn rate" to a minimum...as low as humanly possible. That should be music to every investors AND subscribers ears!
Soooo, this tells me (as I previously stated) that business must be BOOMING and they want to keep their new subs and CC happy by properly grooming their internal workings to keep up w/ the demand. This also buttresses my previous thoughts on why we don't see a GameznFlix banner in this weeks CC circular...because they need to "catch their breath" and prepare for bigger and better things.
If my hypothesis is right, we should all be VERY pleased w/ the release of their 10K or future NR detailing the new sub numbers. :)
Firefight is right guys when he says that short term the news had a NEGATIVE IMPACT on the stock. Period. It is obvious. Here we are at .012. Whether it was because the web-site wasn't finished....we can go on and on here as to the possibilities..it is black and white that the news was negative compared to those who expected or wanted confimation of National Rollout. It is even more negative than NO filing at all. I was wondering if there was even going to be a PR...and wouldn't have minded a quiet rollout of more stores entering the trial program...now this news will cast doubt in the minds of many as to the long term deal here with Circuity City. I'm not saying that I subscribe to that theory or believe in it...but it is going to reflect the psychology of the people.
Once again in my opinion it represents a buying opportunity.
