beacon, jrod - SUperbowl commercial
It was terrible! In the Fall of thqat year, we heard about it and were quite excited. AdSouth, with its president Hormann, were to do a commercial for GZFX in the Superbowl.
Then they had a competition for three lucky winners to be in the commercial.
Next step - here's where the disaster started - they switched to local TV networks, instead of a national commercial - and they did the commercial in the three areas where the three lucky winners came from.
Then came the commercial - it looked like it was domne in someone's garage - the three lucky winners were the only ones in the commercials. The female didn't speak, one of the two males unfortunately did speak - gibberish - could not understand him.
A very cheap commercial on three local networks.
Just before the commercial, there was an uncalled for spike in the price of GZFX, as it was announced that the national commercial was no longer running.
Gary Hohmann soon thereafter became CEO of GZFX!
I couldn't believe my eyes.
Soon thereafter, Flemming started the GZFX-racing site, and made Hohmann President of that. Soon after that, Hohmann resigned.
IMO, and this is only my opinion, I think Hohmann took advantage of the situation by charging a lot of money for a SuperBowl commercial, including a perk for himself, becoming pres. of GZFX, and then made the switch to the cheapo commercial and pocketed the rest.
When the §hit hit the fan, and it played out as the hoax it wass, Flemming knocked him down to the CEO of a useless Website, and Hohmann soon therafter resigned. Just my opinion, no was to back this up.
None of this has ever been divulged to us, how it really happened, but we're all hoping that Flemming learned from this mistake, as the CC initiatve seems to indicate.
Slow and steady growth with a powerful partner, instead of the quick jump into the major leagues before it was ready.
Again, I don't know if any of my opinions are true. Take it for what it's worth.
Best to you,
Prof
