SAC (as far as I know) never tried to move the market with false rumors or the like. They were just traders who took every edge (and then some) available.

I remember a trader friend of mine telling me they used to call SAC the jewish mafia. He said SAC would attempt to move the market all the time. They would get the "Stevie's getting out" phone calls. I really don't have specifics, nor do I think I would post them if I did. How many Raj phone calls do you think SAC got? It was just a matter of time until the government found something. I don't know if they will ever find any market mover schenanigans, but that does not mean they weren't guilty, just harder to prove.

My guess is one of these lackies has something to say and is going to flip. As far as changing the culture of Wall Street, I hope you are right, but Stevie Cohen lived about as good a life as a human being can live for a long time. People tend to have short term memory when it comes to those sort of things.
