I think you are exactly right on target there, Simple. I believe that they did their homework beforehand to insure the partnerships success and have monitored the process to date. Based upon a preset list of goals/ benchmarks they made an impartial business decision to continue and are in the process of doing so. I see no other way to read it either. as you say...simple!
