He's for sure got "Bragging-Rights", I know many PPL that never caught ANY fish of 7 Lbs!
A 7 Lb bass is something I haven't caught either. The 22" smallie (The biggest smallmouth I'd caught) was only 'bout 5 or 6.
(Had no scale, released 'em back anyway)
