Really that isn't bad... take a look at something like Microsoft or something... its ridiculous... I have complaints on my company as well... basically what it boils down to is customers that have no idea what they are doing and think they will 'get the company' by reporting to the BBB. I have gotten a ton of complaints and I simply email the BBB with my info (mostly emails with the customer) and they close the case down right then and there.
It's really weird to say the least. From my own experience its is always customers who think they are gods gift to knowing everything and when you get on their bad side (by pointing out how stupid they are basically) they think they wil get you back by reporting to the BBB.
Take the reports for a grain of salt unless there is some serious serious stuff on there.
