IMHO, there's nothing 'risky' about an honest CEO (EDIT: Founder) laying down the truth on a public board. It is what it is, the truth, which doesn't change if it was blogged, emailed, spoken to your face, or send via carrier pigeon.

I see it as just another example of NTEK going above and beyond to help it's investors get the right info out. Great work NTEK.

I haven't had cable in 4 years. With "over the air" FREE content AND the use of a Ruku (which allows me to add any channel I want) has saved me thousands. It may not be for you but it certainly worked for me. The content available over IPTV with FREE over the air HD content is a HUGE money saver IMO. If you cannot figure out how to use it to your advantage, watch all your favorite shows and SAVE MONEY then DO not GET ONE. But certainly don't bash it unless you understand it.

Remember there is more content available ON DEMAND on all the hundreds of channels available over IPTV than just regular cable or satellite. That is TRUTH. Also, the major channels will be avail on the Nuvola. Like I said before; Cable has control over you, with IPTV, you have the control.

Also, I am able to play my digital library of hundreds of video's from my hard drive using the USB port. The Nuvola has 3 USB ports. Call me crazy but I'm pretty sure you are able to hook up multiple storage devices to watch your own movie collection, home movies and photos as well. This is AN All-in-ONE solution, IMO. And like I said before, I WOULD BUY THIS IF 4K Was NOT even included! That is how versatile this thing is. NOW, I have to use 3 separate devices just to watch IPTV and my own collection. This will DO EVERYTHING (From my understanding).

Furthermore, this is perfect for producers and filmmakers shooting in 4k. There are many independent filmmakers who have 4k cameras ALREADY and photographers (including myself). This will be a fantastic solution for viewing my work. I have a Canon EOS-1D C 4k Cinema DSLR Camera and I know many of my photog friends who have one or they are saving to get one. The Nuvola WILL be perfect for viewing my 4k photos and videos! Never in my life would I have thought something like this would be so inexpensive. (my camera cost over 16,000 just for the basics!) And NTEK has a 55" 4k TV Screen for only $1600? And the Nuvola only $299? NO brainer! Hands down forward thinking about future technology! I can see this going over in the beginning very well with photographers, independent filmmakers and Hollywood. Once more content is out, it will go viral.

Let's not forget all the games and apps I can play and use on the Nuvola. That is a lot of things this set top box can do! Does cable do that? NO it doesn't. I rest my case.

First of all that was NOT the CEO,...please, get the FACTS
STRAIGHT. I repeated that the ROKU has replaced my bill
because I have far more options & don't require a very
expensive bundle of content that I simple don't use!!

That is how it is FOR ME!!! Folks pay for bundles of
content & most use a fraction of "what they pay for".

NFL Live, by way of example is a "pay for service" but
there are also FREE Network games available for the
casual weekend fan...the point is that Roku, for example,
with over 750 Channels has PLENTY of FREE, interesting &
unique content...I have NO NEED for an expensive bundle I
don't use!! PERIOD!!!


NTEK is expecting to provide 4K (UHD) content & if I upgrade
my TV by buying their package, the money saved from a monthly
cable bill can get me an upgraded entertainment unit plus an
NTEK UHD subscription & STILL SAVE MONEY....bottom line!!! For
ME!!
