They said the parts manufacturers held them up. They are highly complex custom fabricated parts that need to be super exact. But now that they have been successfully made once, it will likely be easy to repeat since the vendors have the blueprints/programs/processes configured.

Would have happened long ago if you could go to Walmart and pick the parts up of the shelf. How do you build something with parts that don't exist? The parts have to be drafted, cast, welded, specs have to met, different alloys are needed for different purposes. Stock has to be ordered in, thats if its not already back ordered. Where do you get the different gaskets to seal pipes and joints if they don't exist? l don't think that baby took long at all looking at all the hoops you gotta jump through. JB did another fabulous job and made it in components so it can shipped anywhere. Forward thinking l'd say. Could get interesting now that the pieces can be gotten off the shelf.
