I don't think liberals have anything to do with U.S. bombs hitting a maternity hospital in Baghdad. War is what you make of it. The Bush administration thought they would have 100s of thousands of Iraqi surrenders by now and rebellion from within. They were wrong. So now they are changing the war and is turning out to be a blood bath and much uglier than everyone in the Bush administration originally predicted with scores of innocent civilians dead. That can't possibly be good for anyone.

I agree (as a protester before the war started). I wish we had not invaded Iraq at this time, but it is too late now for woulda, coulda, shoulda. The USA has made promises that it must keep. We cannot do this without defeating and controlling Iraq. It will happen regardless of protests.

There is a LOT of deception on both sides of the issue... Do you really think that the US government expected the Iraqi's to surrender as soon as they were attacked? It wasn't just the reporters painting a rosy picture. Bush aside, we are not governed by fools <G>. And no, I don't think that Bush is a fool -- just narrow-minded, stubborn, and dangerous.

I hope the war ends very quickly, but do not expect this to happen unless Saddam has a heart attack. We have been winning everywhere we have attacked. In predominantly open terrain we will continue to win quickly. Taking cities will be slow & full of pain & death for Iraqi civilians. IMO, the first and hopefully only city we should conquer is Baghdad. We may not need to fight in others and it would only increase civilian casualties. Except during sandstorms we can interdict Iraqi troop movement in open ground, so why fight anywhere else?
