It's a good point you make about an investment chat site vs. general chat site. However, I think good investing tips can be derived from our personal interests in hobbies. If one wishes to invest in F or GM, a thorough product knowledge is useful information. I can imagine in SI's history, a lot of good technology plays were brought up by geeks like you and me and that understand and appreciate the technologies and how they may affect our everyday lives.

As for me, I am anxiously awaiting the 5th generation Camaro and saving my pennies for a Z06. By the time I have enough saved, I should be able to pick up one that's a beater for $3,000-$4,000! :-)

Uh oh....Motor heads.......I may have to bookmark this site.....if you know me from SI, then you know I have one sweet Firebird.......96....less then 15k miles on it...convertible with roll bar......fully redone engine pushing over 500hp......way too many horses, and yes, I've done lots of structural work as well to try and handle the horses.

I call her me "viper eater", cause she will stomp a new viper easily. Mostly she just stomps on supped up vettes and mustangs, though as there arent as many vipers running around. Grandma in her grenada will get me off the line, but once i get her into 2nd and 3rd, I havent found much on the street to even come close to her......I dont race her on the track though....and nor am I a good enough driver to actually push this car to her limits.....I'm a motor head...but still a novice driver........I $hit in my pants when the guy that built my motor gets behind the wheels....I sit there amazed that my car is actually doing all this<ggg>...I have a hard enough time just trying to keep her straight when I am getting on her....but nothing is more satisfying them having some snot nosed kid in his saleen come up revving his motor....I never initiate a race first, but if the time and place is right, I dont mind teaching these kids a lesson or two<ggg>

She is not only fast, but awesome looking with custom paint ( flame red ) ram air hood...convertible with the roll bar....she's my baby!!!
