#145941 RE: Madmonks #145937

I hope I don't disillusion you but procurement is not linked to things like this unfortunately. If it is typical, IMO there will be a phone call like this:

"This is contract officer so and so, heard you lost a BiB--any problems?"

Answer A: "Yeah that thing is a piece of crap--can't handle a 50mph wind."

Answer B: "Yeah, some jackazz Spec 4's didn't pay attention to the wind speed--now we have all this paperwork to do."

Almost regardless of the answer, A or B, if the contract officer and command staff are favorably disposed to the BiB, the timetable will go on as before IMO. If either weren't both favorably disposed then one gets an exit ramp. It is a lot about attitude toward the product/capability and the company IMO. That I can guess at but I can't predict. And then if WSGI has arranged some political interest, that will help as well--remember the Osprey? But relationship plays a BIG role IMO. I don't have firsthand information on that--some secondhand but not firsthand. Everything from me would be a guess. Interesting speculation, though. Best regards, IndyJonesOhio
