#18327 RE: BIDWACKIE #18326

Bidwackie - Well they had to do something to take away from the poor results from Q2, as they spent $53M in expenses and brought in a whopping $4M in revenue. Last quarter was $50M in expenses and $2M in revenue. Now this is a thriving enterprise which burns through $103M in expenses and delivers $6M in two quarters. And . . . this is with no competition in the marketplace. Lets see how this looks with Belviq in the marketplace for a quarter - I think we all know the answer.

By the way, that was a stroke of genius by whoever their PR firm is. Completely deflected the results and sucked investors in to buy more shares without mentioning any names - generic like their product.

There have to be some serious meetings/discussions taking place with some 'very upset' investors over these stellar results. The positive spin is that they increased their revenue 100%, as darkpool pointed out, but unfortunately we are losing our proverbial ass each and every quarter. Big question at VVUS has to be how long can this management team/BOD remain in power with these back-to-back performances? Unless someone sees something I don't . . . this is a freaking disaster!!!

Also, good luck on paying back that $110M line of credit with 'royalties' on revenues. Really!!!

Bidwackie,

Tim Tebow is one of these guys who is a
winner. Management doesn't know how he
does it. You see that a lot in sports.
I remember Doug Flutie with Buffalo. He
could never get in the game unless someone
else was hurt, but when he was in there he
moved the team and he won. Just because he
was too short management thought he didn't
belong. For some reason with those kind of
people results just don't seem to matter. The Jets
had absolutely nothing to lose by giving him a real
chance last season. Management lacked
the courage to win. When it was late in the season
and they were playing for nothing, if he had been
successful fans would have questioned why he wasn't
given a chance earlier. He's the kind of kid you
really want to see be successful, he just doesn't
fit the mold.
