LOL, that's the current speculation. If not at launch, then it's an inevitable speed grade, since Intel stated last IDF that all desktop chips starting with Conroe will be 65W. Let's bookmark this post and revisit in 9 months, ok? :-)

DC, Dempsey's FBDIMM >1000 pin northbridge chip consumes a HECK OF A LOT more power than 20W. The FBDIMMS themselves add something in the order of an additional 8W per DIMM and need active cooling.
