Absolutely no idea, and anyone who tells you otherwise on here is a petty liar. You best go with your own instinct and hope for a bit of luck. You are only going to get opinionated responses from shorters and longs.
Perhaps because certain front loaders wanted to shame SMA and start a negative attack over the weekend on them and their pick? Perhaps there is a large outstanding short position that was attempting to create a last minute panic sell so they could cover any weak handed shares?
A lot of possibilities.
