Perhaps because certain front loaders wanted to shame SMA and start a negative attack over the weekend on them and their pick? Perhaps there is a large outstanding short position that was attempting to create a last minute panic sell so they could cover any weak handed shares?
A lot of possibilities.
But, from what I'm looking at, and viewing all the information at my disposal....
