Poor Mom...she tried to keep her large brood away from them...and the English peas (we ate them raw too), but to no avail
She had a huge garden every year, Sue...you should have seen it.
The weather there is unpredictable in spring and one year she was completely hailed out. I talked to her a few hours later and she told me ..."my beloved garden is gone." Her exact words, bless her heart.
