GOOG prefers to buy young companies that are easier to absorb into their mission without legacy issues.

And GOOG will no doubt spread their cash around... acquisitions, expansion, service improvements, AND new projects.

And, as Caesar countered to Mark Antony couple episodes back (HBO's ROME), "It's only hubris if I lose!"
