There is no federal law against possession nor use of vicodin if one has a proper prescription.
There IS a federal law against possession or use of marijuana, even if one has a proper prescription.
You cannot change federal law. And the law will stand until changed by the federal legislature or marijuana is rescheduled.
Your weapons have not been compromised. Yet. I have heard legislators who are hell bent on strict gun control talk about targeting MMJ patients in Arizona for a ban on weapon purchases. Once your name is on the list (MMJ card) you can't take it off. Speaking from experience working with vets, many would prefer to get marijuana the old fashioned way rather than have their name on the list.
The reason why they don't brake(sic) a law is because it's called a medical condition as well as doctors medical evaluation. How is a patient braking(sic) a law if he's give a prescription to use a vicodin by his physician?
Didn't you say you run one of the clinics? You contravene federal drug trafficing laws everyday and don't realize that the whole thing is illegal? The states can just ignore it and it is likely that nothing will happen (especially to patients who are just buying) but it is still very much illegal. Anyone who can enforce federal laws could arrest the whole lot of you at anytime pretty much. Not saying it will happen but that is the truth.
