Fung.....I just find it extremely hard to believe that a brokerage firm could get away with that and not be completely shut down.
Maybe the rules are different up here in Canada, but if those shares are showing up in my account, then I own them. The brokerage that sold them to me are responsible for producing those shares if and when I decide to sell them, or call in the certs. If the certs are not there, then the broker has to go get them....they cannot just tell me I'm SOL and I paid for shares that I don't own and don't exist....
