Ml, I think you are missing the point that they only exclude it because of their definition of Science, not totally exclude it...

"But I do not want it taught that God does not exist in the real world, in reality, in the world of science,"

God does exist in the the real world and in reality in the minds of men and women and in institutions. That is fact. That God exists beyond that is a supposition that is much harder to prove then evolution. There is no evidence factually of God's existence. People and animals who don't believe in God eat, breath, procreate and die just like the believers. And when they die, they decompose (unless frozen) and no spiritual aspect floats up from their being. Not measureable that is. And measureability and replicability is the basis of science. Science does not say that people can't believe whatever they want to believe but to put it in the same category as science is hogwash. It is science that is allowing us to communicate with each other right now. It is science that has allowed you to exist past infancy if you had a serious infection, malaria, diptheria,etc...There is no evidence that God's hand was involved in such treatments. Or on the otherside of the ledger, there is no evidence that the Devil is/was involved in creating bombs and other weapons of destruction.
God and the Devil are powerful metaphors that have moved civilizations. Humans beliefs do affect their lives but there is no evidence that what they believe in is based on fact or reality.

One of our cats died last night. We grieved painfully for her. My son said Kaddush (Hebrew prayer for the dead) over her still body. It was a very bonding experience for us and comforting to have a ritual to deal with our loss. But our lovely cat is gone and there is no place she will exist except in the grave we dig for her in our back yard. Life is hard and our prayers comfort us but it is not science.
