What is the difference??? They are saying that God and religion are ok as a philosophy or myth, but in the world of science and reality, He is excluded as an impossibility. As I said before, that is fine as long as their premise that God does not exist is true, but if God (and the supernatural) does indeed exist, that teaching is a tragedy for our children.

I need to emphasize that I am not advocating that religious dogma or doctrine be taught in school -- I am against that. But I do not want it taught that God does not exist in the real world, in reality, in the world of science, which in its most basic form is the crux of the battle over creation vs evolution. Evolution is just as much a religion as Christianity, and like Christianity, must be accepted based only on faith because there is no proof that it is true. One faith must not be taught to the exclusion of the other and both theories, creation and evolution, should be presented as just that -- theories -- in the schools.
