this particular image file (set of files in folders) is about 19Gb as the system is new and I've only added a few utilities, like Avira, malwarebytes etc. along with some mp3 files etc.

so yes, I can put the image file onto a usb2.0 drive - the aggravating part is that I can 'view' the passport external harddrive device usb3.0 device when attempting to load drivers (but may be seeing it as a usb2.0 device) when attempting to access system image, that same capability accessing the external drive doesn't exist.... very goofy!!!

Update!!!
I can put the downloaded flo files onto the 'root' of the usb drive and then rename them.
will let you know what happens.....
