This reminds me Ian Read (older) replacing Jeff Kindler (younger)!

It does, in some ways. The main difference is that Kloppers is a longstanding insider with deep knowledge of the mining business; Kindler was a lawyer with no science or pharma experience who probably never belonged in the top spot at PFE.
