It would seem that the share-eating beast has a delicate tummy. It seems to prefer guaranteed pristine, sorted plastic, also known as paid-for plastic; the type used for the SAIC report. Unfortunately for shareholders, paying for this plastic means no gross profit, let alone net profit.

You get what you pay for, garbage in, garbage out. Pristine market plastic in, pristine fuel out.


I have been to the MRF and seen the plastic that comes in. I saw the supersacks with shredded plastic, each with a weight and source tag on it.

Why does plastic that has already been shredded have to go to the recycling facility?
