I agree... My mother was in a trial when she died. The trial was extremely successful. Only one out of 100 died. But, calling anyone about how successful the treatment was overall didn't come to mind at any point in the trial. And, I had a lot of hope since I was told how well everyone was doing when she was entered into it.

Having been there for others, when your loved one is dying and involved in a clinical trial all you are concerned about is whether your loved one is getting better, will have the opportunity to live a little bit longer (to enjoy a birthday, a wedding, the birth of a grandchild) . . . the furthest thing from your mind is calling your broker to invest in the drug company . . . at least that was my experience.

ASCO is the kind of place that oncologists learn about new drugs like Kevetrin . . . all it takes in one article in a journal (may I suggest the New England Journal of Medicine?) and they all will know what we do now! Exciting days ahead....
