I might put a bin at 250 and see what happens. 200-250 seems to be the range for pcgs around 53-55.

Speaking of 1884-S Morgans, I recently bought one that in my opinion is in VF condition:

Be advised that when selling coins that have such large differences from one grade to the next, be sure to take as good quality picture as you can and disclose any and all damage, perhaps being a little overly critical...Because the buyer sure will be, and may look for any excuse to return it. S~P

I believe AU55 1884-S Morgan will continue to gain its premium over time.

In 2005, it was valued for $345 and now it's $625, according to PCGS price history.

And of course, if you can get the better grade, it's even worth more. :-)

I have the PCGS slabbed 1884-S AU55 morgan as well. I have been thinking to send it back to PCGS for re-grading. It looks to me AU58 or MS60. ;-)
