calls, citizenspook has shown himself - to date - to be a credible, knowledgeable and well informed investigator, analyst and attorney. Rare to have all three qualities rolled into one individual.
His analyses re: Espionage Act "Treasongate" and other pertinent matters have been spot on to date. I would recommend reading all of his lengthy analyses at his blogsite.
I think the allusion to impeachment is incorrect, however, as it pertains to Libby. Correct me if I'm wrong, but only the Prez or VP are subject to impeachment. I think this was a typo (he probably meant Cheney, Bush or both).
He's onto something however, re: Wilson/Plame. His basic contention is that the commonly accepted motive that "bitch-slapping" (retaliation against) Wilson by revealing his wife and her covert firm as WMD monitoring agents does not explain the true motives for outing her. He makes this case for several reasons, but one that is compelling is that the magnitude of the penalty (potentially death) was so great that a mere bitch-slapping as the motive is insufficient to explain the crime committed.
Personally, I tend to agree that something else was afoot. A higher motive was probably involved. That being exposure of the Brewster-Jennings operation itself.
CS goes so far as to postulate that Wilson/Plame may have been witting (or unwitting) accomplices in the crime. This remains to be seen.
This is also why I have posted links pertaining to Sibel Edmonds and the ATC. Wilson, along with Scowcroft are associated with the ATC. The ATC has been outed by Sibel Edmonds as being involved in 911, arms and probably also drug trafficking, among other really bad things.
Major Dickerson, an active USAF officer is also associated with the ACT. He is the husband of one of Sibel's fellow translators, Melek Cam Dickerson. Both of these individuals tried to recruit Sibel as an agent of a foreign government while she was an FBI translator. Sibel also alleges a number of other instances of corruption of FBI translators (see justacitizen.com , for futher info) penetration of FBI and corrution and suppression of evidence/investigations by FBI higher ups - of 911 and other crimes yet to be revealed.
It's not yet clear why exposure of Brewster Jennings suited the purposes of Bush/Cheney/Rummy. Possibly they wanted to expose other foreign assets to death. There may have been an Israeli/AIPAC link. Possibly - no way to know for sure at this time. One can only speculate.
What is certain is that there is a nexus between ATC, Plame, Wilson, Scowcroft, Cheney/Libby, 911, drugs and WMD's and likely also Rummy and AIPAC. Given that lots of this is "national security" related, we may never know for certain.
Clues are the gag order against Ms. Edmonds, her public statements (see in particular her letter to Chairman Kean in reaction to the 911 Whitewash Commission report) and possibly the secret info provided to the judge who ordered Judith Miller's imprisonment.
There are no easy, simple answers here, and much still remains in the shadws. It will frustrate and confuse morons like ieddyi, hap, goober and the other dittoheads who post here. I've been studying these matters intensively for 2+ years and much is still uncertain. But, what is certain is that the "official" story is not complete and is likely a ruse.
