3DMark score: so, this is why Athlon 64 is postponed until September.
I think the problem is with HTT-to-AGP translator and drivers for this. I may be wrong, but I think usually northbridge can move graphics data from memory to AGP, but Athlon 64 has to pass it through itself. I hope this is a driver and translator challenge, and the Hammer model is not inherently flawed with graphics.
Anyway, Opteron has first to storm the blade rack-server market, trash Itanium and Xeon, then slowly, slowly start to compete with P4 on desktop. That will be a challenge.
