Clicking on link from last post looks like we have a nice fleet there. It looked like there were two fleets of wind farms there and I'm just wondering which one is ours. I've seen that a few times that it is the largest wind farm in America so is that talking about Spinning Star, Cielo, Noelke Hill, or whatever it is now? Do we have a developer now to take to phase two (i saw a developers name thrown in there for Cielo or Noelke Hill or whatever). I saw in a earlier post it was scheduled to be done late 2013, early 2014

You will have to excuse myself here, I'm a little slow but like what the heck is going on here? I am getting confused with the information, disinformation. So it's now 24,000 acres, not 40,000 acres. Nice to see things moving with class action lawsuit and at least something appears in the works there to being over and done with.

I appreciate all you guys do here but is there any way you guys can update the company website on here so we are all on the same page with what we are looking at with number of turbines, what is connected to APWR, etc, etc. It's sad I call this the company website but that's the only place where I get my information. I can't blame APWR though bc if you have nothing good to say than staying quiet is not a "bad" idea. Although by the looks of it you guys can probably run The Company better than them

Chi, commonly known as "Horsetrading", I like the company they keep though.

Curious sidenote: Warren Houser, Sue Noelke Houser
connection in Texas Land Records. Just wondering about motives for wording of press release and stuff. WE NEED more news. Getting greedy for news now. From nothing to every few days. hahahahahahha I'm cracking up.

So, it all hinges on transmission lines. Helps to explain the timing of the wind farm.

Just got this back from Ken Polson,Texas Ut systems, been in contact for past couple yrs. http://www.utlands.utsystem.edu/trust_minerals.aspx

Dan,

What a coincidence. I heard from Spinning Star, for the first time since 2010, today. They indicated they want to take power line easements on us in the near future. We had discussed them back in 2010, but then they just went away. Now they are back. I am not certain where they would be, as when things don’t happen faster than this, I throw the information away.

This is power line easements only, although they indicated they might want to reopen wind farm talks later. We will talk, but we are pretty cool to wind farms right now.

I don’t know what to make of the comments below. I guess once the CREZ lines are in place wind might heat up around here. One CREZ line is being constructed on us and we think encroaching on us in other places, although I am never comfortable making absolute statements about where our property lines are.

Ken

Subject: Spinning Star Wind Farm

Good morning Ken: Been several months now that we’ve had a discussion on Spinning Stars developments in W. Texas. Imagine agreements are quite a ways along on land leases, easements, ect. Seems that the project continues to grow in scope as time and continued energy credits go forward.
Are you able to expound on any developments or scopes of the project? I’ve heard that along with their owned properties and leases of Tx Ut properties they are closing in on their projected goals . Any take the comments of additional developers on this wind farm?
The landowners of approximately 40,000 acres of land, formerly known as part of the Noelke Hill Wind Ranch and Spinning Star Energy Smart Wind Ranch projects, are seeking a qualified developer for what would be one of the largest wind energy projects in the country.

The land is located in Upton and Crockett counties in West Texas, near McCamey and south of Rankin, and has some of the best wind resources in the U.S.

The land is located east of Texas Highway 349, encompassing the mesas from Rankin to Iraan and near new competitive renewable energy zone transmission lines scheduled to be completed by the end of this year or the beginning of next year.

As always, much appreciated for your commentary. Thanks Dan
