I will co-sign that:

I suspect one of SRGE crooks contacted a Kinross employee and said they wanted to talk. In order to do that, a CDA would have been exchanged - that's normal practise.

The SRGE used the CDA to pretend a JV had been created, but KInross spotted the lie before too much damage was done.

It is what makes the most sense in light of how they were doing this pump and dump.

Just like the PR on Boxing Day, thinking Kinross would not be available for comment - damn smartphones got them again.

What is funny is that SRGE didn't change the SAEI playbook - they did the PnD the same way. And, they got suspended for the same reasons - fraudulent press releases. Oh, and not having a mining company.
