That is called "email spoofing". It is very simple to do. I suppose someone did this after I confronted a person yesterday about it. Sort of a way to say "we was hacked" and justify themselves. Seen it done many times.

Post your email and in under 5 minutes I can send you an email from yourself (with your permission) and you won't be able to track it.

They prob used "Telnet" or "Catnet" to spoof the email (More than likely Catnet). Or, they went through a third party. If it was a mass emailer I assume they did it themselves.
