I don't foresee a settlement, the result of which is that I/P is "forced" into a bigger overall financial gain from this trial than would be realized in a settlement. I do believe that the advantages of a NON-settlement on the part of I/P far, far outweigh a settlement, esp. in the amount that Google would be willing to pay.

Some shareholders keep talking about a settlement or buyout, etc., but at this point the company has so much going for it regarding the Google lawsuit unanimous jury verdict, the UK & Germany lawsuits, the increasing Google royalty base over the next 4 years, the new platform and patents in the works (Israel), the Nokia patents, other possible infringement defendants, possible $15.8 vs. $158 million jury award correction, possible laches revisitation on appeal, etc.---all these things militate against a buyout or settlement at this time.

I think Vrng management rightly thinks that in the longrun it's very much in the best interests of the company's shareholders to hang tough in with the company's overall game plan. Certain shareholders want a settlement that allows them to cash in NOW and move on. But that result is not necessarily in the company's best interests imo.

As mentioned before, the price will continue to be controlled with ease during the next several weeks. This is totally irrelevant, unless someone is planning on selling.....and who the heck who's left standing would even dream of doing that at anywhere near this tiny manufactured price?
