#9630 RE: carolinacoast #9626

Carolinacoast, Silverstein is not only Jay's Attorney. He is a Major investor in Jay's company. So, I would say that gives Silverstein a Big interest in the outcome of the Trial. When Silverstein threatens to sue people if they testify. I don't think any of those witnesses did anything to what appears to be a Greedy Lawyer.

No one has anyone to blame over this Court Case, except Jay. There would not be a Court Case if Jay would have listened to his Admiralty Attorney David Horan. All the Fisher's wanted to do was examine the emeralds to see if any came from the Atocha, BEFORE they entered the case. They told Horan and Jay, that if they were not Atocha emeralds. They would not enter the case.

Horan being a smart attorney agreed to let them examine the emeralds. Jay and Silverstein not being smart, said NO. So Blame Silverstein and Jay, not the Fisher's. It has been testified to that Brazilian Emeralds are in the mix that Jay has. Brazilain Emeralds aren't worth squat.

Two things I notice at the Trial. Jay and Steve have big egos and they swore under oath to several statements and then after court recesses they came back on the stand and changed their testimoney.
ie...
Steve swore that he personally cleaned every emerald in soap and water and they were never outo of his site except to send to labs or a bank vault. Then Steve reversed his testimony and said, he cleaned some with paint thinner. ( WOW !!! Paint Thinner, what an expert treasure hunter. )
Then we have Jay stating that no one enhanced any emeralds or put any oil on them. Knowing full well that was not true, because after a court recess for lunch and talking to his attorney. Jay came back on the witness stand and threw his Brother under the bus and testified that his brother enhanced 2 bags of emeralds.

Then there are other statements that were swore to and later cchanged on the witness stand. I'm sure the Judge took notice of thos statements, I know that others in the Courtroom did.

The best one was the reason for not filing the Admiralty Claim. The first one was that he had no money. Yet Jay admitted under oath that he had a PERSONAL BANK ACCOUNT in Pennsylvania with investors money totaling up to a million dollars and a later company account with investors money in Key West.

Then we have Jay's statement that he didn't file the Admiralty CLaim because they were shopping around t file it OUTSIDE the United States. The Judge couldn't believe his ears when he heard that one and told Jay it was illegal to do that. Then the Fisher's attorney asked Jay if he thought his attorney's were right in telling him to file the Admiralty Claim outside the USA and Jay said, Yes they were...

Finally, Jay brings 4 boxes of emeralds into Court and states that that is all the emeralds that were found. Jay also states in a newspaper article that 4 boxes of emeralds that he hid from the New York investors were worthless. Jay admits he has 4 boxes of worthless emeralds and people on here still figure the emeralds are worth hundreds of millions of dollars. Go Figure.

Then we have Jay saying he was sued by the New York investors because the NY investors wanted to take contol of the emerald project, when in FACT it was reported in newspaper articles that the NEW YORK Investors sued Jay bcause he HID 4 BOXES OF EMERALDS FROM THEM.

Then we have the Judge. We have a poster saying he is older then Moses. Well I will say this. That statement matches a lot of Steve's and Jay's testimony on the witness stand and had to be recanted. It isn't true. If I remember right, Moses to b several hundred years old. One thing I will say about Judge King. They named a Federal Court House in Miami after him and he has a lot of Experience in Admiralty Law. I don't think anyone is going to pull any wool over his eyes.

Just my personal opinion
