stehvestor, again you omit some critical info. You stated
"BMG & others seem to be ramping up. I guess someone should tell the powers to be at BMG it is in a rampout...They claimed two weeks ago they have 15m cd's protected. That is their fact
and then you are EXPECTING those numbers to increase. Where did you hear that? I have seen nothing to say they are increasing roll out. Link please/ Let's deal in facts not what you expect or want. We all want it, it just ain't happening."

BMG may not be "updating daily" as many would like the number of cd's protected. ALSO, BMG is NOT the only user of MediaMax, thus it does not make up 100% of the number of protected cd's.
ALSO, WHY do you ignore upcoming releases, many by major artists, coupled with the 4th qtr, which in fact is the best selling quarter of the year? OH, right, if it's not negative you won't mention it. LOL
In addition, this bears repeating, the entire INDUSTRY - music labels, retailers, artists and agents are indeed surprised and perplexed as to why Apple is stalling with being MediaMax compliant. I think you can read how especially BMG / Sony is disappointed with that. You may ask, why not the others? YES, they too, but not as publicly. As you may already be well aware, BMG / Sony does have a lead role in representing and evaluating these issues in regards to the entire INDUSTRY. To refresh yoour selective memory, this is from an INDUSTRY site "With the introduction of copy-management technology comes a wide array of questions for retailers and consumers. Together NARM and BMG would like to provide answers to the most common questions about the technology."
