Yes and that and projecting crop yields drastically will be down because of the drought and then yields are only down half of the shortfall so they say it's great. Many companies use that trick in forecasting their earnings. They lower projections all quarter several times, then beat the latest and the headline reads "XXX Beats estimates". What Monsanto did not tell you is that Nebraska allows farmers to water their crops, unlike most other states. When the rivers and creeks ran dry they let them use ground water. Nebraska was the hardest hit drought state, yet the farmers did quite well. Nebraska is one of the biggest corns states.

Nebraska corn yields were only down 17% over last year, yet if you look at the drought map you'd expect they plowed it all under.
