Zeev, since you said you rarely commit more than 20% of your funds to day trades, the +15% for the last 3 months is a fantastic result, at a much lower overall risk. Congrats!

Now, about that ZPE again--why would *you* spent a minute of your time to listen such harebrained ideas? It's a scam worse than cold fusion... Actually, it's 'vacuum energy', a legit concept in QFT, not really ZPE, right? You da physicist.

Zeev,

The tuition that I paid was very high(a couple hundred thousand)first as an investor ,then as a bad trader.I could not have picked a worse time to learn. From March 2002 to Sept 2002 I lost almost 80% in one account. Then from Oct 9th to Nov 8th I traded for a 108.5 % increase and am now up 138% from Oct 9th.I have been flatline over the past 3 months.I countinue to learn from excellent traders like yourself and I thank you for your wisedom.

Regards

Marc

"and I still break the rules from time to times due to "lack of control on the emotions" and the tendency to rationalize a mistake as a temporary setback"
---------------------------------------------------------------

Zeev...

There is a good side to "breaking my rules" - it almost always reminds me that there were very valid reasons they became rules in the first place. Over the years I have developed a long list of do's and don'ts, and I paid a steep tuition for the education. Occasionally I go back to take a refresher course, and it is rarely free.

You've been wondering why the defensive stocks aren't doing so well. Camp on his website today gave out this tid bit.

For the SP 100 Index:
One of the stocks weighted on the buy side is TXN. One of the stocks weighted on the sell side is GD. There are 9 stocks weighted on the buy side and 6 weighted on the sell side.

Appears da boyz don't like GD, since they are selling it when program trading hits sell levels. And pulling up a chart, whoa! That would have been one pretty short 10 days ago. 15% or about a $1 a day, and new 52 week lows. I know nothing about the FA on it. Looking at a 3 yr. chart, is that wild. Started in the mid 30's and marched as pretty as can be up 110. Since then it's been doing the down elevator trick. <g>

Media reports are gloomy this morning.
Equity P/C highish yesterday.
Latest II bull/bear showing nearly as many bears as bulls.
Possible bin laden capture rumor coming up in next couple of days.

Time for a bounce for a few days?
I am looking to cover partially today.
