''And every single person who has contacted us about iPod compatibility has gotten the work-around" to bypass the content protections, he added."

That is my point, BILLIONS (CDs) are more important than millions (downloads).

WHY? Why would the record companies look to add a few million or a hundred million to downloads and allow billions to wash away with casual copying of CDs?
