KCG - Just to make sure we are both referring to KCG, and the 90% institutional ownership that was decimated by an $8 reduction in the price per share of KCG.
That 90% institutional ownership experienced a $700MM + capital loss! That is not up for debate!
Many of those institutional owners have restrictions on owning penny stocks, or generally speaking, stock with a share value below $5. As a result, those institutions would have been forced to sell KCG, since the price per share of KCG dropped well below $5 per share, and has not recovered.
$700MM loss for institutions collectively!
Since a typical tangent was attempted, let's bring it back to what was originally being discussed in my original post:
The value of KCG was WIPED OUT for all common shareholders of re3cord on July 31, 2012!!
An 80% loss, compounded with massive dilution equating to nearly 300% increase in common shares have WIPED OUT shareholders!
Shareholders large and small had their equity in KCG *Wiped Out*!
What?? Of course they weren't. Most of the "others" were large funds who had small holdings in KCG. They were not "wiped out".
Sheesh. And only in Fantasyland were those failures "planned".
Now the largest shareholders are those who have been conspiring with NITE!
What a sweetheart deal for everyone, but the original common shareholders of record, prior to August 1, 2012!
NITE has never been a friend to the common shareholder, regardless of the company, large or small, friend or foe, self or other, etc.
