Regarding the so-called "breakdown" in the chart, some recent posts seem to suggest that --- absent news of the JV released this week -- it necessarily marks the beginning of a prolonged downtrend. In other words, you're saying: this week or bust.

Isn't it true that it's not nearly so black-and-white? For example, what if news is released in two weeks or three weeks? And, what about the fact that the strong-kneed among us are less concerned with the timeliness of the release and more concerned with whether the deal is still on (which, unless Merle is flatly lying, is the case)?

I don't see anything really damaging in the chart. Pretty neutral for the most part.

Remember charts are but one small tool in the in the whole scheme of things when trading pinkies. Speculation and news are the major catalysts. If you are a long term investor, hopefully you relied on your own in depth fundamental analysis combined with your specific risk tolerance.
