Anyway, I kept my chair! The boy who challenged me was really depressed afterwards. Didn't even play our pep band music with us. Someone asked me if I was sorry that I made him depressed and I said "No way! That boy has been threatening to beat me all week and making me feel bad, so I think he deserves to feel bad from me beating him." He'll probably challenge me again next week.
Today before band a lot of people came up and told me that Colt (the other boy) was going to win and I said, "Weird, the more you tell me that to bring me down, the more it brings me up." If that makes sense...
I only won by two points so I think I will be practicing a bunch so next time I beat him by like 50 or something.
Now, I can relax knowing I'm first chair. I got that song by "Fuel" in my head right now. "No I won't back down, No I won't back down. And This world can keep on dragging me down, but I'll stand my ground. And no I, won't back down".
