Iraq is a war we cannot win, and cannot afford to lose.
A fine quagmire the neocon regime has gotten us into.
I hear Cheney likes perpetual war. He's got it!

Good question. Initially I felt that since we broke that country, we owed it to them to stay until we fixed it. Now, with the death toll continuing to climb, the Iraqi "security" force not nearly able to secure themselves, and the Iraqi people no way near ready to help themselves, I say begin to pull out. What is our choice, stay there...3-5-10 more years because the country can't protect themselves?
You can call that cut 'n run if you want, but to continue to put our young in harms way - which was criminal to begin with - makes no sense to me.

GWB and this admin lied to the American public/world, and we have a mess on our hands of our own making. It's up to them to figure out how to get our people back home before the death/injury toll continues to climb higher.

My guess is, with '06 elections around the corner and GWB's poll numbers falling, this admin will figure out...mission accomplished, again. When they begin an early withdrawal, the spin they'll put on it will be we made progress - hey look, they even have a constitution. Of course most of us know that once we leave, that so-called constitution won't be worth crap.

The Peace demonstration held recently in DC didn't help GWB's "cause" at all. I know, I know the admin tried in vein to turn that into a Ms. Sheehan bashing event but the average citizen took note of the thousands of people who protested. IMO, if GWB continues to send our young men/women to die, you haven't seen the last of Peace demonstrations.
