My son does not have the time to do it this time.

He went back to school to finish his business degree.[plus working as a foreman at Ford Motor]

The guy that I bought it from will hopefully take care of it.

My wife's laptop has been totally un-affected by this latest assault.

No to beat a dead horse... but malware and viruses are so easily fixed with a simple digital imaging system that lets you roll back your hard drive to one of hundreds of previous restore point.
