AMS

I have always attempted to paint the whole picture. I was quick to criticize the Nok agreement, but I also pointed out that IDCC was using its perceived 2g clout to gain a seat and allies at the 3g table. As it turns out, I was correct and Nok even contracted to support IDCC in the standards committees. As far as 18 years is concerned, yes that is a long time. Have certain events been foreseeable for me and others? Absolutely not, do you think that I could have foreseen the IDCC attorney in the MOT trial engage in altering a trial exhibit without the permission of the judge and giving notice to the other side? No way could anyone anticipate such a violation of the cardinal rules in litigation. That one move cost the company big time and completely shifted the focus of the judge who did a masterful job of gutting IDCC. If that had not happened, I would not be typing a reply to you today. I would have made my money and you and many others would never have had the chance to get in on the ground floor of this company. IDCC has admitted that the licensing has been held up because of Ericy and I accept that as being the reason for lack of licensing. I might add that 3g is being changed on a daily basis by the major manufacturers and this is the main cause for its delay other than the recession. I believe that the licensing will occur when the true commercial launches are ready. I also believe that IDCC will be paid from day one with respect to 3g.

I perform reality checks on a daily basis. I have informed everyone on this board that I have assessed the Ericy situation and the companies that are watching with interest. I have assessed the accrual mode for two of the most successful companies in the wireless manufacturing sector. I have further assessed the work being done in the TDD technology and the real possibilities of its success. I am of the opinion that I am holding tickets on a winning horse. If the horse throws its jockey or trips and falls, then that is my tough luck. I completely understand the risks and the rewards and am happy to have a shot at the rewards. Can I guarantee that rewards will happen? Certainly not by any stretch. Can I say that I really like my odds of getting rewards? You bet and I do..

Your reply shows your lack of knowledge regarding the launch of 3g. IDCC did not expect to gain immediate customers from its presentation because the infrastructure and terminals are not in existence to support their milestone. It was their intent to show the world that it can and will work and the study indicates that it should be a very real consideration for the operators when deciding to move forward with W-CDMA. IDCC is getting the story out for the education of the operators. It will then be up to the IBM types to get the story to the business sector and convince them of the value added effect to their present and future business models. In the meantime IDCC is moving forward and plans to have demos to give the operators next year. Why? IDCC believes in their work and the results from their testing. This will cause the manufacturers, mainly Nok, to promote W-CDMA FDD/TDD to the operators along with the IBM's who will have successfully convinced the business sector concerning the most effective 3g system for their business plans. They will create a data rich system which can operate both inter and intra-company as the usage dictates. This will also cause the other infrastructure manufacturers to jump on board with this technological breakthrough in order to provide the cost savings provided in the study. All of this is contemplated by an influx of business usage as they take advantage of the movement of data over the system. IDCC cannot force 3g to happen, but it can continue to provide as much technology and test results to the wireless sector in order to educate and influence both the manufacturing and operator sides of the fence.

IDCC is in a position to receive 2g dollars and 3g dollars simultaneously for a very long period of time. This can amount to a very significant annual revenue with built in growth all the way. The potential of the company today is significantly greater than when I first invested 18 years ago. I have a very short time to wait to discover if my perception of REALITY is correct or not. I have made the decision to stay the course through the darkest moments of the company's history. I will not let your constant negative bias effect me in any way. I point out the bad, but I also recognize the good. You should try it, you may like it.
