CP you are putting too much weight on certainly -> certain. What was certain then that there was a very real possibility that the MOS may not be reached by 7 Sept. I would generously interpret this as meaning that there was then a high to moderate probability that this might happen.

MOS data, again this is a time-to event and we haven't reached it yet, but at some point in all likelihood we will.

Taken together with the one you quoted, these two other statements of SK sure sound to me like he does not expect MOS to be reached anytime soon.

I would say that the word "certain" in this case means it is expected based on the way things are trending that more then 51% of the patients will be alive into Q4 2012 and maybe beyond..
I would also take note of the word "may".
"May certainly" means to me there is excellent chance 51% would be alive , but, that could possibly change. I don't think it would be an absolute certainty hence the word "may".

For those whose lives are on the line lets hope 51% is well exceeded.
Hopefully many are survivors and the immunology brought on by Bavi delivers long term high quality lives to these very sick people.

As the MOA of Bavi has become clear Immunity has become ever so present in the recent conferences. It has become ever present in the dialogue announcing up coming events.
I would think that is a well stressed selling point in talks with BP. Case in point the lead in to the up coming conferences.
PPHM is attempting to deliver an effective alternative with increased OS beyond SoC and possible immunity. In this "unmet need" either one would be monumental. As in nada, never before, a first, ground breaking for this indication and advanced stage population.
Would any BP like to treat critical stage cancers at the time of detection and then follow with a life long maintenance schedule?
With Bavi playing seek and destroy as cancerous microscopic cells move through the blood in an attempt to metastasize.
An enlightened immune system recognizing attacking and flushing these previously unfettered killing cells from there bodies.
Cancer may finally have a worthy adversary for many patients.
IMO the longer developing action of Bavi is also why HCV will be revisited with a longer outlook..
I don't think the entire cat will be out of the bag this month unless we have reached MOS.. I would think somethings will left to dangle in negotiations with BP. I will mute my expectations. I do think we "may" get some stats to attempt to combat the evil doers from the dark side that have been attacking .

On that front I would like to see PPHM get pro active. File legally against the perpetrators of blatant misinformation for the proposes of manipulating the PPS. If they extend that legal threat to the sites that give them a forum like Bavi to PS it could effectively kill this other cancer we have been dealing with.
I would call that one stage 4 AF. A current condition with an unmet need to be eradicated.
